As far back as the inception of our nation our U.S military has participated in Combined Force Operations. This type of operation has been performed or conducted for various reasons and under different circumstances surrounding each conflict. In the following, we will view four major aspects of combined force operations; the history of combine force operations, the challenges that are posed from combine force operations, and the advantages and disadvantages of conducting combined force operations. In speaking to the past, present and our current state of affairs throughout the world, it is quite possible that combined force operations at one level or another will become a constant way of "doing business" for our military forces in years to come.
