The Persian Gulf War of 1990, also known as Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm brought turmoil and conflict to a region with enormous uncertainty. The nation states of Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia where in dispute over land, resources and power. The United States, the world, and its political organizations would unite as one and come to the aid of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The battle plans and the military details of coalition forces would be led by the United States military. The Persian Gulf region has stood divided for centuries and the struggle for supremacy in 1990, was no different.
