Ethical development in the Army is an ongoing task that never ends. It starts when recruits first join the military and are issued "Values cards". These cards are designed to be worn around the neck and tuck neatly in our wallets. A daily reminder when wearing your Identification tags as to what the Army values are. Ethics are continuously developed through leadership training and experience. Ethics in the Army is not merely a list of do's and don'ts. It is a spirit of character that true professional Soldiers must possess. It is critical that every Soldier understand and possess this spirit in order to have the trust and faith of the nation they defend.
