It has been said that experience will always win over strength. Nothing is more true to the fact than the Non-Commissioned officer (NCO) during the Korean War. It would not be just experience that would lead to great success of the NCO, but many other factors as well. The experiences of the enlisted soldier of WWII along with the reforms afterwards had a direct impact on the success of the NCO in Korea. This success would evolve through aspects such as the combat experience learned in WWII and technology that was used and available was well as the post war subjects of integration and the Cold War. All of these objectives combined would make the NCO corps in Korea a more flexible, intelligent, and effective combat leader.
