In 1775, our forefathers fought against incredible odds to secure our basic rights and freedoms that we cherish today. In the past few years, unethical acts involving leaders continue to rise. Many leaders seem to follow the "do as I say and not as I do" approach. These acts are leading to the demise of our Army values and threaten to leave our Soldiers without a moral compass. During this essay, I will define ethics, the Army values and then provide a few examples of diminished leader values in various settings.
