The Army continues to make changes in the way that they conduct their wartime mission. This is in order to keep up with changes in how our enemies fight against us. Attack Helicopter operations have become an important part in the way that we conduct these missions in the Army. To the normal Infantryman, Tanker, Special Forces Team member, Artilleryman, or any other member of the Armed Forces it becomes unnoticed as to how the maintainers and Aviators of the Battalions conduct their new mission. In brief I will capture some of the changes that took place during our recent deployment to OIF III in Taji, Iraq from January 2005 until January 2006 while assigned to the Third Infantry Division.
