First Sergeant duty is one of the greatest honors and privileges a Noncommissioned Officer can do during a career. It's even more special when leading Soldiers during wartime operations. Looking into the faces of Soldiers who are looking back waiting for your guidance is an awesome responsibility. That guidance could impact life or deaf. I will be highlighting some trials, tribulations, small victories and overwhelming joy during my deployment to Iraq as a First Sergeant.
