Modern day Soldiers have too many demands to set aside time to study history. Who cares if Soldiers know the history of the (Non-Commissioned Officer) NCO Corps or military history in general? History never provided a benefit to anyone. Why waste the time to focus on the past when the present presents a far more grueling challenge. History is a waste of time because no one ever learns from it anyway.
