Thesis Statement. The implementation of the INF Treaty made Europe safer. Discussion. The implementation of the INF Treaty made contributions to the safety of Europe. Through the implementation of the treaty, the United States and the Soviet Union removed intermediate range nuclear weapons and reduced their military forces in Europe. The elimination of intermediate range nuclear weapons and reduction of military forces led to the Warsaw Treaty Organization dissolving and the Northern Alliance Treaty Organization enlargement. Conclusion. The threat of war was present in Europe for four decades. The implementation of the INF Treaty brought closure to the threat of nuclear war and made Europe safer.
