An account of the American participation in the occupation of the Rhineland, Germany. Continued from volumes I and II covering 1920-1921. Chapters include the political and economic situation in unoccupied Germany as well as the occupied zone, movements of the Commanding General, American Forces in Germany and the evacuations of troops, the activities and outstanding policies of the Interallied Rhineland High Commission, agencies whereby the relations of the Army with the civil population of the American area were maintained and regulated, and military only activities of the American Forces with the gradual reducation of strength after the departure of the 8th Infantry.
