This paper lends special attention to the characteristics of the weapons employed by both and aircraft and ground troops. Attention is given to the effect of machine gun fire and bombing attack from low-flying aircraft on infantry columns; the effect of antiaircraft fire of infantry weapons; the means of receipt and transmittal to troops at the approach of hostile aviation; and a consideration of the United States and foreign developments.
