An investigation of the advisability of further development of the "all-purpose gun", with a view to its employment against mechanized forces, aircraft, and the usual ground targets. This study assumes that the above weapon will be of about the equivalent in caliber of the present 75 mm gun or the 3 inch antiaircraft gun. Also from the above, we can assume then, that this weapon will be operated by the Field Artillery.
