Purpose: to review foreign developments in tanks and antitank weapons, and foreign doctrines and techniques in the employment of such weapons; to review Army field forces present antitank weapons and techniques, and current antitank development projects; to clarify Army field forces present and long-range tactical requirements in view of the facts adduced in a and b, above; to recommend changes necessary in present Army field forces antitank weapons and techniques to meet the immediate tactical requirements; and to recommend the antitank developments considered necessary to satisfy foreseeable future requirements.
