This study of U.S. Army Special Forces operations in mainland Southeast Asia was prepared as part of a continuing program of research by the RAC Unconventional Warfare Department on problems of internal defense and internal development in developing countries. The work was produced in hopes of providing guidance to future U.S. Army efforts to advise and assist the ground forces of developing countries to meet the challenges of internal defense and development. Part I describes the operations and activities in Vietnam, October 1964-June 1967. Part II details the operations and activities in Thailand, 1962-1967.
