Purpose of study is to examine on a limited scope the development of the policies governing FAC operations which resulted in two diametrical combat situations; to associate elements of these situations and the questions which they bring up with the adequacy of present policies; and to specifically investigate the effectiveness and potential of the non-aviator as a FAC, with a view toward augmenting the supply of USAF FAC's with FAC-trained non-aviators.
