A wooden light-weight cavalry cart for a short barreled Gatling gun. The carriage has two 55" diameter wheels and a 65" track. The yoke assembly is bolted to the platform. There is an elevating knob at the rear. On either side of the yoke assembly is a single wooden ammunition chest. On outside corners are angle iron pieces with round braces on top side. Inside each chest are divided sections for holding twenty four, forty round magazines. Each chest has rounded metal tabs on rear bottom side of box which fit into metal bands fastened to the floor of the cart. A third wooden chest (43" x 16" x 9.5") is fastened near the carts axle. It carried the gunner's implements and additional ammunition. There is a single tree and shaft assembly for use with one or two horses.
