The purpose of this paper was to evaluate the battles which occurred in Western Europe during the period 10 May to 17 June 1940 in order to test the hypothesis, "The lack of adequate Command Control Communications in the Allied Armies was one of the most significant factors contributing to the defeat of the French and British Armies by the Germans in the battle for France." The basis for the evaluation was library research. The results of the research show that out of several factors considered the Germans had the most significant advantage in Command Control Communications. The conclusion is that the hypothesis is valid. This document was a student paper written for the Communicative Arts Program.
