This is the personal experience of a battalion commander (liaison with the infantry regiment and artillery battalion). The purpose of this monograph is to cover the principles and technique of artillery liaison as employed by the 9th Infantry Division Artillery. There are three parts describing the organization and equipment of the artillery battalion liaison party, communications (wire and radio), and functions.
