From the 1998 supplement: Chapter 1, Introduction: The 1108th U.S. Army Signal Brigade provides strategic communications support and information services for Echelons above Corps (EAC), the Department of the Army, the Department of Defense (DoD), the President of the United States, and other agencies of the Federal Government. The Brigade provides Command and Control of the 1110th and 1111th Signal Battalions, the Defense Metropolitan Area Telecommunications Systems (DMATS) in Boston and St. Louis, and the Northeast Telephone Switching Center (NETSC).
