From the 1985 supplement: Background: A. The 7th Support Command (SUPCOM) was first activated in July 1, 1959, as the 7th Logistical Command. The unit was assigned to duty in the Republic of Korea and provided command and control of logistical support there until its inactivation on 1 August 1964. The motto for the command was "Vanguard for Support", which it lived up to by providing effective combat support. -- B. Once again the 7th Army Support Command was called upon for active duty. In June 1965, the command was reactivated, this time assigned to the United States Army Europe and Seventh Army, West Germany. Its headquarters was in Worms, West Germany where the command conducted its mission until 25 June 1969 when once again it was deactivated. -- Additional background through mid-1980s too.
