From the 1987 annual supplement: The executive summary of this history is drawn from oral history interviews with the past I Corps Commander, LTG H. Norman Schwarzkopf, the past Deputy Command, MG Calvin A. H. Waller, and the Chief of Staff, BG Edmond S. Solymosy. The I Corps Five-Year Vision, developed by the Organizational Effectiveness Office, was also consulted. It is attached as Appendix C. The security classification and degree of access granted to the oral history interviews vary, but the information used in the executive summary is unclassified. The chapters dealing with the various staff section of I Corps are drawn from their staff historical summaries submitted to the historian twice annually. These were edited or rewritten in an effort to provide a continuity of organization and to eliminate repetition and events not historically significant.
