Assistance provided to Vietnam by the United Nations system of technical assistance is channeled through the United Nations Development Programme, the Regular Programmes of the Specialized Agencies and through UNICEF. In addition, Vietnam participates in a number of regional projects and numerous Vietnamese civil servants have had the opportunity of attending conference and training courses organized under United Nations auspices. Total assistance to Vietnam from 1964-1969, inclusive, amounted to some $9,750,000. A breakdown showing the various sectors of assistance is given at the end.
