From Foreword: Munitions for the Army was written at the close of World War II by Dr. Troyer Anderson of the Office of the Undersecretary of War and records in less than 50 pages the experience of the Army in fulfilling its procurement responsibilities for World War II. Because of its broad illuminating treatment of the Army's mobilization problems in the last war, it is reproduced in original form for the the benefit of those now charted with the planning of the nation's expanding program of industrial mobilization and military procurement. -- Office of the Chief of Military History, 5 January 1951.
