A personal narrative of the 81st Infantry Division in World War II. The author was a Ranger and part of an elite fighting group of men known as the 'Wild Cats'. They landed in Hawaii on June 11th and soon after was shipped to Guadalcanal. The 81st Infantry Division was made up of the 321st, 322nd, and 323rd Regimental Combat Teams (RCTs) and was to assault both Angaur and Ulithi.
