In the pages of this report, the objectives and actual realization of the training of enlisted men in medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine, under the Army Specialized Training Program, have been set forth in detail. Information on the Student's Army Training Corps, the years between 1918 to 1941, preinduction training program, establishment of the ASTP, initiation of training under ASTP, selection for training in all three medical fields, curtailment of training, assignments, curricula, facilities required and their selection, contracts, academic standards, screening procedures, military instruction and physical training, disposition upon completion of training, and recapitulation are also all discussed within this document.
