This is a brief account of nationalist and racial groups which developed in Germany after the First World War, the relation of these groups to the development of Nazi ideology and practice, and the methods by which the Nazi Party coordinated and dominated these groups. The nationalist leagues, volkisch (racial) leagues, and the national bolshevists, the pre-fascist groups in Germany between the years 1918-1933, are discussed.
