This program documents the Battle of Midway -- the most important battle of the war in the Pacific during WWII. Not only was it a demoralizing disaster for the Japanese Navy and the war commanders, but it deprived the Japanese of their most important strategic resource that was essential in the naval battles of the Pacific war -- aircraft carriers. This documentary utilizes Japanese and American archival footage from the actual battle, as well as interviews with many of those who fought the battle on both sides. Also, re-creations and computer graphics illustrate the decisive turning points of the battle.
