This 27 hour course is designed to provide students with an understanding of various aspects of intelligence doctrine and its application at the tactical level. The course emphasizes the role of the commander, the Chief of Staff and G-3 in directing and focusing the intelligence effort and how the intelligence system supports planning, synchronization, and the decision making process. In addition, the course considers other critical tasks the intelligence staff performs to successfully support operations such as support to force protection, intelligence synchronization, and collection management.
