27 hour course gives students the opportunity to broaden their base of tactical knowledge by examining in depth the intelligence considerations that must be taken into account when making tactical decisions and plans. It capitolizes on previous CGSOC instruction and combines small group seminars, discussions, and practical exercises to analyze and apply intelligence doctrine, concepts and functions. The course uses corps-level planning to stress tactical intelligence concepts that can be used at all levels, specifically those related to situation development, targeting battle damage assessment, and force protection. A305 also considers other critical tasks, such as, intelligence synchronization and collection planning that the intelligence staff mist perform to be successful in supporting the commander. Course evaluation is based on practical exercises, written assignments, and class room participation. Course materials include: Advance book; meeting 1, Introduction to intelligence operations; meeting 3, Intelligence preparation of the battlefield; meeting 4, Targeting and battle damage assessment; meeting 5, Force protection; meetings, 7,8 & 9, Intelligence operations practicum.
