This 27 hour course focuses on Sub-Sahara Africa. Students study historical and current issues effecting the entire continent. the course begins with a study of the history and geography of the region to establish an academic foundation to understand current events. Students will study U.S. foreign policy in Africa from both American and African viewpoints. This course is not a country-by-country study but, rather a survey study of continental history, issues and conflict. Course materials consist of syllabus/advance book only.
