Access is restricted. Individual development course examines the role of operations research/systems analysis in the military decisionmaking process. Instruction includes selected quantitative techniques to solve commands and staff problems. Techniques include set theory, probability, statistics, models and simulation, decision theory, economic analysis, linear programing, and network analysis. A military case study develops insight into application of these quantitative methods. Readings included: Planning-Programming-Budgeting, Uses and Abuses of Analysis for Managers of People and Things; and Mathematics for Managers Made Easy.
