Subcourse develops analytic and problemsolving skills through an examination of the principles and concepts of establishing and attaining military strategic goals for the United States Pacific Command. Analysis includes strategic determinants of policy, development of theater objectives, and employment of military forces to attain those objectives. Emphasis is on political, economic, social, and military conditions of the Pacific Command's (PACOM's) theater, which includes mission, threat, area, force design, organization, and command and control.
