8 hour course which will impart an understanding of the national objectives of the USSR and the PRC and how the elements of power of each influence the nation's decisionmaking process; and critically analyze the global strategies of the USSR and PRC, the underlying forces that help shape Sino-Soviet relations, and forces with respect to the Third World and the United States.
