Subcourse acquaints the student with the nature of the battlefield and provides insights into and solutions to problems that are characteristic of that battlefield. A 10-hour practical exercise requires the student to develop and formally brief an operation plan that considers combat service support requirements, time distance factors, time-sensitive execution essentials, and risk and vulnerability assessments.
