This 18-hour subcourse addresses the impact of nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) weapons on division and corps operations in suppoort of the AirLand Battle. This course covers NBC training program techniques and the effects of smoke as a combat multiplier on the battlefield. Situation-based practical exercises allow the student to apply the operational aspects of nuclear, biological, and chemical operations in a tactical context. The subcourse will assist the student in subsequent assignments as a division or corps staff officer to assist the commander in planning, directing, and controlling the battle in an NBC environment.
