The Great Patriotic War in the memoirs of combatants: Annotated index of military memoirs (1975–1981). The first section is "Ground Forces". It annotated 628 books. In the second section - "Air Force" - 126 and in the third section - "Navy" - 74 books. Within the sections, the annotations are arranged in alphabetical order. The appendix lists the authors of the works in alphabetical order; the titles of books and collections of memoirs are also indicated. Annotations to books reveal only the main range of questions: information about the author (mainly during the war), about the time, place and nature of the events covered. If the title of the book speaks to some extent about its content, the abstract is given as briefly as possible. When listing reviews, only those are named that, in the opinion of the compilers, give an objective assessment of the book and are most accessible to the general reader. Lists of published memoirs were compiled on the basis of the book collections of the State Library of the USSR named after V. I. Lenin, the State Public Historical Library and the Military Scientific Library of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the USSR. — (From the preface)
