This 30 hour individual development course focuses on the planning and execution of military operations in Eastern Europe. Students will be reqired to apply offensive doctrine and exercise tactical judgement in conjunction with combined arms capabilities in a hasty attack with nuclear weapons, river crossing, air assualt, movement to contact, pursuit, and MOUT operations. They will develop tactical plans for operations at division and corps level, communicate the plans and orders, and react to execution requirements. Plans and concepts will be presented for group discussion and critique. All seven lessons use the 10th (US) Corps in a variety of hypothetical combat operations in selected geographic environments. Course materials include: text; maps; overlays; aerial photographs of Leavenworth; advance sheet; and booklet.
