This individual development course builds on that knowledge of the planning, programing and budgeting system (PPBS) and force development gained from P211 (Analytic Decisionmaking). It addresses unit design and authorizations within The Army Authorization Document System (TAADS) through those actions required to structure an army's divisions. Force planning and development at the major army commands (MACOM) and the constraints placed on the total army force structure are also addressed. It prepares students to perform in planning and development related positions at MACOM, DA and JCS level. Course includes: Meetings 1 and 2, Introduction and the force development environment, Tables of Organization and Equipment (TOE), Force Development Management Information System (FDMIS), and The Army Authorization Documents System (TADDS); Meetings 3 and 4, Division structure, division structure case study, and Division 86 up-date (guest lecturer); Meetings 5, 6, and 7, Force development; Meetings 7 and 8, Issue paper cycle (17th Div Force); Meeting 9, Planning/programing update (guest lecturer); and Meeting 10, Issue paper presentations, review and critique.
