On completion of this 8 hour course students will have an understanding of the doctrinal principles of amphibious operations, how these principles are applied by a joint task force, and the mission and phases of naval supporting arms to include: available assets, capabilities, and limitations of naval gunfire; organization; coordination, and control of naval gunfire support; and aviation support planning and employment techniques.
