35 hour subcourse evaluates the organization of the U.S. Army, its historical development, and how the Army has prepared for war and employed forces in combination in the 20th Century. Students will evaluate the development and performance of the U.S. Army in the 20th Century. Course materials include: text; Dieulouard bridgehead operation; Arracourt tank battles; Foret de Gremecey battle; Singling battle; Chart on the Evolution of the division span of control, equipment, and tactical doctrine; and a map of the battle area of the Lorraine Campaign.
