This individual development course critically analyzes the American Army's involvement in the Vietnam War and assesses the impact of the war upon the Army and the nation. Specific topics addressed are the history of the conflict before America's entry into the war; the American decision for war; U.S. Army operations from 1965-1969; strategy, tactics and national will; and lessons learned from the conflict. The style of the course will be similar to a graduate level colloquium.
