4 hour subcourse provides the student with an understanding of AirLand Battle doctrine and, therefore, a doctrinal framework for subsequent tactics instruction throughout the CGSC year. This subcourse will include discussions of the US Army's operational concept, the imperatives of modern combat, the levels of warfare, the air component of the AirLand Battle, and the deep battle.
