30 hour individual development course designed to enable the student to acquire and apply the basic concepts, principles, and procedures involved in developing, managing, and using a computer-based management information system (MIS). Areas of emphasis include management functions, management information applications, systems analysis and design, data base management, data communications concepts, other management information technologies (computer output microfilm (COM), minicomputers and/or microcomputers, word processing), and organizational impacts.
