Individual development course builds on that knowledge of the planning, programming, and budgeting system (PPBS) and force development gained from P211 (Fundamentals of Resource Management). It addresses unit design and authorization within the Army Authorization Documentation System (TAADS) through those actions required to structure the Army's divisions. Force planning and development at the major Army commands (MACOM) and constraints placed on the total Army force structure are also addressed. It prepares students to perform in planning and developmment-related positions at MACOM, DA and JCS level.
