This course prepares commanders, managers, and staff officers to use general-purpose digital computer systems. It consists of an introduction to fundamentals of computer systems (hardware and software components) and rudimentary computer programming techniques using the beginners all-purpose symbolic instruction code (BASIC) language as a vehicle to demonstrate the use of software. On completion, students will understand components of hardware, functions of software, and program development considerations.
