Access is restricted. 36 hour college staff battle exercise. Force structure: unified command resembling the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) composed of an Army corps, Marine amphibious brigade, 2 Navy carrier battle groups and tactical air forces. Operational considerations: primary emphasis is on the execution of combat operations. The staff group will comprise army corps and division headquarters in theater and will interact with other elements of CENTCOM represented by Navy, Marine, Air Force and Army faculty. Historical background and an area assessment will be given to the students prior to the exercise. Requirements in leadership and ethics, staff proceedures, and battlefield support will be integrated into the exercise. Operational environment: Combat desert operations in the Middle East.
