The Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary defines ethics as "the discipline dealing with what is good and bad and with moral duty and obligation; a theory or system of moral values." The United States Army has its own set of values that all Soldiers have agreed to live and act by when we took the oath to serve. The values are Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. Field Manual (FM) 6-22, Army Leadership, defines each value and I will discuss what each value means to me. These values spell the acronym LDRSHIP.
