Army Aviation has long recognized the need for advanced tactical aviation training. Our partner services all have courses that focus on the aviator's ability to plan, brief, and execute large scale aviation missions while developing tactical aviation leadership. Army Aviation leadership has given clear guidance that our focus needs to be on large scale combat operations and denied environments, so we require a clear pathway to develop aviators and tactics at the appropriate level and scale.
