An American attorney and United States Senator from Oregon. Morse is well known for opposing his party's leadership and for his opposition to the Vietnam War on constitutional grounds. In 1964, Morse was one of two senators to oppose the later-to-become-controversial Gulf of Tonkin Resolution. This bio-bibliography, devoted to the life and career of a United States Senator, is one of a few works of its kind. It begins with a biographical sketch, the first complete study to be published. The second section is an annotated bibliography of works by and about Morse and citations for his more significant Congressional speeches.
