The purpose of this paper is to provide a detailed synopsis of the dedication of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) on Governmental Affairs, support of Military Families, and the resources this organization has provided to its members. AUSA has helped the men and women of the United States Army since 1950. It is one of the largest private supporters of the Army members; Active, Reserves, National Guard, Retirees and Government Civilians. AUSA's mission is to provide a platform to communicate issues, and concerns to Congress, which the military faces and cannot combat alone. This platform is a conduit that allows the military to address pressing is problems through AUSA, and in return, AUSA elevates these issues to higher plateau for resolution. AUSA's vision is to deliver the top-notch professional to the men and women who have served, and those that are still serving. Through providing detailed attention influencing Congress to change or add policies. AUSA's values excellence are innovation, professionalism, inclusiveness, integrity, and responsiveness. These character attributes are what makes AUSA a steward of the Army and Veterans of the past. Through selfless services to make conditions better for others and their Families. AUSA's living legacy started over sixty-five years ago.
